About Russell Christison

I became interested in private investigation because I enjoy solving problems and helping people find answers they could not find themselves. I like uncovering information that moves an assignment closer to its goal. I also enjoy that the work can involve fieldwork, uncertainty and pressure.

Starting Russell Christison Investigations made sense alongside the process-serving work I was already doing. Process serving gave me experience approaching unfamiliar people, handling uncomfortable situations and documenting what happened. It also confirmed that investigative work was something I wanted to continue pursuing.

I studied Sociology at Oregon State University with a focus on Crime and Justice, along with minors in Criminology and Philosophy. I chose that area because crime and human behavior have always interested me. My education taught me that behavior can be influenced by a person's upbringing, environment, socioeconomic circumstances and the people around them.

Sociology taught me not to judge someone based on one fact or first impression. Philosophy taught me to examine a question from different viewpoints and look at the larger picture before reaching a conclusion.

My goal is to build a business clients can rely on and return to. I want people to feel confident that their assignment is being taken seriously and comfortable communicating with me throughout the process.
